Regulations related to the stress check (in Japanese only)

National University Corporation Institute of Science Tokyo Stress Check System Guidelines for Staff on Ookayama Campus, etc.

Purpose
The purpose of the Stress Check System is to prevent stress-related health problems by helping employees to recognize and cope with their own stress, and to create an employee-friendly workplace as a primary prevention against stress-related health problems. It is not intended only to detect persons with such issues. To make the system effective, it is desirable for all eligible employees to take the stress check.


Eligibility
Employees working 30 hours or more per week on the Ookayama, Suzukakedai, or Tamachi campuses

Implementation system
○ Person in charge of the system: Staff member of the Faculty and Staff Healthcare Center
   Formulates and manages implementation plans for the Stress Check System
○ Coordinators: Occupational physician and public health nurses
 Implement the stress check (planning and evaluation of results)
 (Representative: Occupational physician, Co-coordinators: Public health nurses)
○ Administrative staff for implementation: Staff members in charge of employee wellness administration
 Assist coordinators (by collecting survey forms, entering data, etc.)
○ Counseling: Occupational physician
 Gives guidance for those determined to be highly stressed and who wish to have counseling
○ Outside contractor: Knowledge Constant, Inc.
 Handles some of the duties of administrative staff

Procedures
○ Period: From Tuesday, October 1 to Monday, October 7, 2024 (until Monday, October 14, 2024 for those who are away on business trips, etc.)
○ Questionnaire: The Brief Job Stress Questionnaire English version provided by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and items deemed necessary by the coordinator
○ Method: Conducted via outside contractor website
○ Determination of highly stressed employees: To be determined based on the implementation manual specified by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare
○ Counseling: Occupational physicians provide guidance to high-stress individuals who request counseling.

Prevention of disadvantageous treatment
In the Stress Check System, actions described in the following document are prohibited.
